Course overview
This course is franchised from the University of Glamorgan and prepares both graduates and non - graduates for employment within the post 16 sector. This includes further education, private training, nurse education and training in industry and public services. The same scheme of study is pursued by both graduates and non-graduates. Graduates are awarded the Professional Graduate Certificate in Education and non - graduates the Professional Certificate in Education on successful completion.

Teaching, training and instructing adults (16 years+), BA (Education and Training). MA (Education), MA (Learning and Teaching HE).
Entry requirements
- Applicants must have secured teaching placement hours prior to application. This consists of 80 hours for the first year of study and 120 for the second.
- Please include a 400 hundred word statement to support your application (This should confirm your reasons for applying for the course, in relation to education).
- Entry is subject to interview
- Intending teachers are required to organise a teaching placement before enrolling on the course.

This professional training scheme is particularly applicable to: practising full and part time teachers of young people and adults within the broad field of continuing and post-compulsory education; those employed in higher, further and adult education; training personnel in HM Forces; training personnel in commerce, industry and public services; intending part time teachers (provided you are adequately qualified in the subject you wish to teach).
