BYOD – Bring Your Own Device

To be able to participate on a BYOD course you will need a device that is capable of running Microsoft Office and have the ability to connect to our print system.

Before attending the BYOD course please uninstall any trial or starter versions of Microsoft Office \ Anti-Virus software.

Here is a very useful video guide from PCADVISOR which explains the suitability of various devices for student use.

Devices that are suitable:

  • Windows Laptops or NetBooks (NOT ChromeBook)
  • Apple Mac Book Pro/Air (NOT iPad)
  • Windows Tablets (with keyboard)

Devices not suitable for the BYOD course are:

  • Android Tablets

  • Kindles
  • Google ChromeBooks
  • Phones
