Course Overview
This course will provide you with a qualification designed for those aiming to progress to Higher Education or to enter work within the building industry, civil engineering or related industries. You will need to pass all 18 modules to gain the qualification.
What you could do after this course
This course provides progression onto a Higher National Certificate in Construction Management or BSc(Hons) in Architectural Technology at Pembrokeshire College, or a degree in a construction related subject. Successful students may also be aiming to be employed in a construction discipline and the skills acquired during their studies should enable them to progress to a technical or professional position in industry. For example as a trainee surveyor, architect or site manager, or as a technician working with one of these or other construction industry professionals.
Entry requirements
- Five GCSEs at C or above (or equivalent),to include Maths and Science and preferably English
- First Diploma at merit, plus one GCSE (grade C or above) or Key Skills Level 2
- All applicants will be required to bring confirmation of their GCSE results or any other qualification results to an enrolment event before the start of this course
- For mature applicants - Direct admissions to programmes for applicants who have been out of full time education for more than two years will be considered based on previous learning or experience. Each application will be considered on individual merit. We recommend an interview with one of our Careers Advisers before submitting your application.

What you will learn
The Extended Diploma course consists of 18 units all of which need to be passed to achieve the qualification. You will also take part in industry related activities.
