Is this course right for me?
This course is a comprehensive vocational qualification designed to equip learners with the skills necessary for a career as a Massage Therapist. The course begins with a blend of practical and theoretical training, followed by commercial client sessions, incorporating case studies and assessments.
Learners will be required to carry out 30 case studies as part of this course, some of which may need to be completed at home. There are also elements of distance learning that must be completed online in learner’s own time.
- If under 19, relevant Level 1 or two GCSEs at grade D or above (may include one relevant equivalent) to include English Language/First Language Welsh
- Good personal presentation and communication skills are required
- You should be physically capable of completing the practical elements of this course
- Each application is considered on individual merit
The course will cover:
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology for Complementary Therapies (two exams, distance learning)
- Provide body massage for Complementary Therapies (face-to-face learning)
- Business practice for Complementary Therapies (distance learning)
- Principles and practice of Complementary Therapies (distance learning)

Upon successful completion of this course you would be able to practise massage in a salon.
