Our Cake Decorating courses are specifically themed according to season, learn the basic techniques to decorate celebration cakes. This 8 week course is suitable for all abilities and will give you the skills to ensure that birthdays and special occasions are covered!
Celebration Cake Decorating
Tuesday evenings 6-8pm, starting 3rd October for 8 weeks
A sponge celebration cake covered with fondant paste and decorated with handmade sugarpaste items.
Techniques Used: Royal icing piping work; simple sugar flowers; simple sugarpaste/marzipan models; sugarpaste lettering; patchwork cutters cake top;
Cake Decorating with Royal Icing
Thursday evenings 6-8pm, starting 28th September for 8 weeks
A rich fruit Christmas cake covered with marzipan and then covered and decorated with royal icing.
Techniques Used: Royal icing piping work; covering a fruit cake with marzipan; covering a cake with royal icing; making decorations using royal icing
You will need to bring ID with you to your first class, such as driving license, passport, bank card etc.
Please bring a pen and notebook with you as well as an apron and a plastic container (about the size of an ice cream tub).
