At the College, we understand the difference a highly skilled workforce can make to the success of your business.

We can help your staff to develop their skills - either by attending a course at college, or an in-house training programme in the workplace through training4business our specialist training unit based at the College.

Options

The College has a number of training programmes that can be picked off the shelf including NVQs and various other qualifications.  Alternatively, the College can help put together a bespoke package for your organisation based on your training needs.

Apprenticeships - Employers

Recognised as the proven way to train your workforce, enrol your existing staff onto an apprenticeship programme and your employees will benefit from valuable learning and development opportunities at no cost to your business.  As an experienced apprenticeship provider we will work with you to ensure the needs of both your business and the individual are met.

Apprenticeships - Apprentices

If you’re ambitious and want to get your career off the ground, an Apprenticeship could be the answer.  To become an Apprentice you must be employed – please ask if you need to find an employer as the College has good links in all sorts of industries from oil and energy to tourism.

As an apprentice, you’ll get the kind of practical skills and respected qualifications that not only demonstrate your knowledge but also prove that you can do the job well.  Training for an apprenticeship takes between eighteen months and four years, depending on your rate of progress.

We are now offering a quality NO-COST recruitment service to businesses of all sizes throughout Pembrokeshire.  We can take your vacancy and work with you to produce a shortlist of applicants who exactly match your criteria taking the hassle and expense out of recruiting the right calibre of staff for your business.

Mobile Technology

Our mCommunity team are using technology to work with both individuals, to enhance their employability skills, and local Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) for the provision of learning programmes to increase business effectiveness.

The Energy Sector Training Project

The Energy Sector project is providing subsidised training for the Pembrokeshire energy sector and associated supply chain companies across a range of vocational routes.  Employees will be able to raise their skills levels and gain recognised qualifications through the project.

Skills for Industry

The College is pleased to announce its participation in the Skills For Industry project.  The £15 million project is designed to assist employers and enterprises in adapting to economic change by raising the skills levels and qualifications of their employees.

The project will allow employers and other enterprises to access accredited Level 2 and 3 training and qualifications at a reduced cost in the following sectors: Manufacturing; Automotive; Care; Retail; Engineering; Construction; Tourism and Financial and Professional Services.
