Course overview

The course is designed to produce engineers with a sound knowledge in principles in electrical and electronic engineering.


Entry requirements

  • A relevant Higher National Certificate/Higher National Diploma. Appropriate work experience will also be an advantage. Entry is normally subject to interview.
  • The College welcomes applicants over 21 years of age, each application is considered on individual merit and formal qualifications may not be required dependant upon experience

What you will learn

The BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is a two year programme franchised from the University of Glamorgan and delivered at Pembrokeshire College. The course consists of five modules over two years.


Modules studied include

Year 1

  • Mechatronics
  • Embedded systems
  • Project management (part of the individual project)

Year 2

  • An individual project
  • Electronics production and test
  • Signals and digital communications

How you will learn

  • Group discussions
  • Writing reports and projects
  • Practical activities following written and verbal guidance
