Innovation Centre

Innovation Centre

State-of-the art technology for design, engineering, construction, business, marketing, media, photography and music is all now available for students and businesses in Pembrokeshire in an impressive modern innovation centre.

Specialist resources and trained staff at the centre provide a wide range of full and part-time further and higher education courses in subjects that will be crucial for the development of a competitive high-skill economy. Courses range from short part-time programmes to university of Glamorgan degrees and HNDs in Design, Media and Engineering.

The Innovation Centre also houses six business incubation units where local entrepreneurs can develop their businesses in a subsidised and professionally supported environment. It is expected that the centre will provide a major boost to the generation of the ideas and skills needed for successful business growth in the county.

The centre was opened by Jamie Owen in 2003. He praised the college for its vision in developing such a crucial facility for the county's future, stressing the increased opportunity now available for young people and adults to access modern skills for profitable careers. Local AM Tamsin Dunwoody-Kneafsey and Principal Glyn Jones both stressed the major contribution in funding from ELWa and the EU's Regional Development Fund.
