Aims

Development of a culture of enterprise and entrepreneurship within the institution
Providing services to local businesses including technology transfer, consultancy services, contract research etc.

Initiatives this year include:

Business plan competitions
Enterprise awareness days have been held in association with a variety of business support groups/agencies, including The Prince's Trust, Young Enterprise Wales, Careers Wales West, Enterprise Factory and PBI.
Delivery of OCN enterprise units through a variety of methods including a key skills business starts/enterprise initiative.
Individual guidance for those wishing to set up in business following completion of their studies, with the Enterprise Champion or the Graduating to Enterprise Programme (GEP).
A Young Entrepreneurs association has been formed that meets quarterly to discuss business development requirements and includes a guest speaker on a specific developmental topic.
Commencement of the "Prosper Project" to provide aid, free-of-charge, to qualifying small to medium business enterprises - click on the projects link for further information.
