Pembrokeshire College recently welcomed the Inner Wheel Club of Milford Haven who indulged in some TLC as part of a well-earned pamper day.
Taking a deserving break from their usual charitable fund-raising activities, the ladies approached Pembrokeshire College’s Salon and Eat@6 Restaurant to arrange an afternoon of indulgence, treating themselves to therapeutic treatments and a delicious two course lunch.
Linda Brown from the Inner Wheel Club of Milford Haven booked the appointments to give some of the members a treat, “Everyone works so hard to raise money for worthy causes, I thought it was high time that we did a little something for ourselves. The College’s reasonable prices meant that our pampering session didn’t pinch our wallets too much either!”
Enjoying either a full body Swedish massage or Aromatherapy back massage followed by a Reflexology treatment, the ladies floated their way to the College Restaurant to enjoy some sustenance to end their day.
The luxurious treatments were delivered by Pembrokeshire College’s Level 3 Complementary Therapy students who regularly provide treatments to members of the public when the Salon opens its doors on Tuesdays and Thursdays during term time. The lunch was provided by the College’s Level 3 Catering and Hospitality and Level 3 Supervision and Leadership students who help run the Restaurant and Restaurant as part of their course.
Head of Health, Care and Commercial Enterprise Wendy Weber commented, “Our students really benefit from working with members of the public as it develops their skills ready for employment. We were delighted to welcome the Inner Wheel club for a pamper day after all of the hard work they do to raise money for charity.”
Two members of the Club recently jumped 12,000 feet from a plane to raise money for the charity Amelie’s Rainbow. Other activities include sponsored walks, charity lunches, concerts and car boot sales to raise money for worthy causes.
