Pembrokeshire College’s Football Academy was established in 2001 in partnership with Welsh Premier league side Haverfordwest County and uses the clubs facilities for training and games.

The Academy is for students with a professional approach to football who wish to enhance their talent and hopefully play the game at a higher level alongside a programme of academic study.

Football Academy members select a full-time course from one of the wide range of subjects on offer at the College, and improve their game through a combination of coaching, conditioning and regular matches.

At the outset players receive an assessment and personal fitness programme designed to enhance and maintain their fitness levels. They also have access to sports therapy and physiotherapy. Personal fitness levels are monitored and tested throughout the year.

During the two years with the Academy, players will have the opportunity to take FAW approved coaching courses to enhance their knowledge of the game. So if you are serious about your football and want to improve skills whilst gaining a qualification that will help you towards a career or university study, join Pembrokeshire College’s Football Academy next term.

The Academy’s patron is Fulham and Wales’ midfielder Simon Davies who hails from Solva and developed his skills under the guidance of our coach Ronnie Beynon.
