Pembrokeshire College A-level Government and Politics Students Thomas Mallitte and Harrison Cole-Picton were recently selected to take part in the popular evening TV show, BBC Question Time which was hosted at the Torch Theatre during November.
Charing the debate was David Dimbleby alongside panel members; Business and Energy Minister Claire Perry; Shadow International Trade Secretary Barry Gardiner; Westminster Leader for Plaid Cymru Liz Saville Roberts; General Secretary of the Public and Commercial Service Union (PCS); newly-elected President of the Trades Union Council, Mark Serwotka; and Columist for the Daily Telegraph Tim Stanley.
Topics discussed during the evening were centered around Theresa May’s Proposal, Brexit and various other political matters currently taking place across the UK.
Harrison explained his delight at being selected to take part, “I am very interested in Politics and when I received the news saying my application to attend BBC Question Time was successful I knew it was an opportunity that was not to be missed. The topics discussed where very controversial and it was interesting to see and hear everyone’s views.’
The successful attendees were provided with the opportunity to bring along their own questions for the panel.
