About Us

Linked to Pembrokeshire College, the Bright Start Day Nursery is open to the public and offers a lively, safe and caring environment for children aged between birth and seven years. Our professional team of staff create a happy, educational and stimulating atmosphere in which children explore and learn through play activities that develop them physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and through language.

We understand that choosing the right nursery for your child can be a daunting experience; that is why we encourage all parents to come and visit us, to see first-hand the quality of the care that we have been successfully providing for over 25 years. Our inspection reports are consistently excellent and are available on the CIW website.
Delivering the Foundation Phase (for three to seven year old children), we ensure that during their time at the nursery your child will begin to develop the skills needed for their future learning. With a strong focus on reading and writing skills the Foundation Phase is based on learning through play with practical activities designed to enhance your child’s creativity, knowledge, skills and understanding. The nursery is inspected by Estyn for its Foundation Phase and our report can be found on the Estyn website.

Mission Statement

The aim of the nursery is to provide the highest quality childcare and education in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment, giving priority to the developmental needs and happiness of our children.

Our prime objective is to provide a safe stimulating environment, which is fun and where learning takes place through play. Safeguarding is pivotal to our delivery and the College’s Head of Safeguarding and Learner Services is the Responsible Individual for the nursery.

Working in partnership with parents, we aim to encourage the development of happy, confident, self-motivated and enquiring children.
