Pembrokeshire College engineering student and Sea Cadet, Huw Jenkins is one of the people lucky enough to have received an official invitation to attend the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Taking place on 19th May at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, Huw is one of 600 guests to be invited to join the celebrations, with the soon to be married couple promising a fun-filled wedding.
A Lord Lieutenant Cadet for Dyfed, Huw was nominated to attend the wedding through the Sea Cadets and is looking forward to this unique opportunity to witness a part of our royal history. Huw commented: “I am thrilled to have been given this unique opportunity to attend a royal wedding. So few people are able to say that they have been to a royal wedding that this is a real honour.”
Currently studying on the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering, Huw is on track to achieve distinctions and has already had tests and interviews with the Royal Navy. Having made it through to the final stages of the selection process for their enhanced engineering programme, Huw is now awaiting a final interview to see if he will be accepted onto the Royal Navy Advanced Apprenticeship in Marine Engineering.
We can’t wait to catch up with Huw after the wedding to find out all about it!
