Welcome to
A-levels

Here we’ve pulled together details of how to enrol, followed by some information that we hope you will find useful prior to starting College in September.

How to Enrol

You need to enrol as soon as possible after you receive your GCSE Results in August.

If you don’t get the results you had hoped for, or have changed your mind about the course you have applied for, please contact our Admissions team as soon as possible – they are here to help.

Please note: if you have been a student at the College previously, you do not need to redo your WEST or upload your results.

1. Check your email address

Check your email address under Personal Details on OnTrack (using the link below) and update it if you need to.

Your username is the first part of your email address (before the '@' symbol) that you used when you created your OnTrack account. You will also find it on the enrolment email we sent you. If you have forgotten your password, you can click on ‘forgot password’ to create a new one.

2. WEST Initial assessments

You have the option to do these now or once you start in September. We do encourage you to get them done before you arrive.

There are three assessments: Application of Number, Communication (English or Welsh) and Digital Literacy. Each takes an average of an hour and a half. There is no pass or fail it just gives you and your tutor an idea areas that need improving.

Note: your ID number will be on letters/emails from the admissions department.

View our guide with more information on WEST assessments. Gweler ein canllaw gyda mwy o wybodaeth am WEST asesiadau.

3. Upload your results

If you are expecting GCSE results this summer, please take a clear photo showing the entire results slip (including your name) and upload your results to the evidence section of OnTrack where they will be checked. Please watch this short video How-To Guide, if you need help.

Your results will then be checked and:
1 - If you have met your conditional offer you will receive an email letting you know you can now enrol.
2 - If you have not quite achieved the results you required, we will contact you to talk about your options.
3 - If your grades are a long way off what you needed, don’t panic, please upload your results and one of our Admissions Team will contact you to talk about alternative courses.

4. Your first day in college

Will be Monday 4th September or Tuesday 5th September depending on your course. You will be notified which day you need to attend, once you have been enrolled.

Note: if you are a Federation student, please go to the Federation Enrolment page.

Note: This page is for enrolling onto A-levels regardless of the subjects you have picked.

A-levels sits within the Faculty of A-levels and Skills.

All our staff are really friendly and we have an open-door policy meaning you can just pop along to our offices at any time to ask a question. Here are some useful people for you to know. You will be shown where to find them during your first day in College but if you don’t remember, just pop to reception and we’ll point you in the right direction.
