It’s that time of year again when Pembrokeshire College bids farewell to its international students. The event showcased an English language recital of Dylan Thomas’s poem ‘Do not go gentle into that good night’ by Chinese and German English language students and a presentation about the UAE was professionally crafted and delivered by Emirati student Mana Almazrouei. Ho Yin Ching, from Ningbo, China performed oriental and Celtic violin pieces alongside Maths tutor Helen Stoddart. The College choir entertained students, host families and staff whilst being served a typical Welsh afternoon tea. Students from the United Arab Emirates will return for a second year of marine engineering studies in September, other students return for second year A-level study and some learners have applied to study at British Universities; Sunny from Beijing said “I’ve enjoyed my time at College very much, I am planning to study Biochemistry at Edinburgh University next September”. Pembrokeshire College would like to wish their students good luck with their A-level results and to have an enjoyable and safe summer break!
