{"id":11,"date":"2019-05-14T13:26:19","date_gmt":"2019-05-14T12:26:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pembrokeshire.ac.uk\/finance\/?post_type=product&#038;p=11"},"modified":"2024-12-03T09:18:19","modified_gmt":"2024-12-03T09:18:19","slug":"dbs-fee","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.pembrokeshire.ac.uk\/paymyfees\/product\/dbs-fee\/","title":{"rendered":"Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Fee"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As you are required to complete work experience as part of your college course, you will need a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check through the college.<\/p>\n<p>Students on the following courses require a DBS check:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All Childcare Students<\/li>\n<li>Health and Social Care students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re planning to study one of the above courses, it&#8217;s really important that you bring in your evidence and make payment before your course begins in September.<\/p>\n<p>If you doing a different course but have secured work placement with an employer who requires you to have a DBS (for example, you might complete work experience at a school as an IT engineer), you should pay for your DBS check here when advised to do so by the work placement team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What happens next?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will need to provide evidence to submit your application. The work placement team will need to see your evidence and will inform you how to complete the DBS process &#8211; here are details of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/dbs-identity-checking-guidelines\/id-checking-guidelines-for-standardenhanced-dbs-check-applications-from-1-july-2021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">what evidence is required<\/a>.
