A-Level Religious Studies is designed to enable you to develop your interest in, and enthusiasm for, a study of religion and its place in the wider world.
The qualification includes a wide range of topics for consideration including: Buddhism – an indepth and broad study of one of the six major world religions; religion and ethics; and philosophy of religion.
This course will enable you to develop your interest in a rigorous study of religion and belief and relate it to the wider world as well as developing your knowledge and understanding appropriate to a specialist study of religion.
You will develop an understanding and appreciation of religious thought and its contribution to individuals, communities and societies.
Throughout this course you will be required to adopt an enquiring, critical and reflective approach to the study of religion and to reflect on and develop your own values, opinions and attitudes in the light of your studies.
