This exciting Degree opportunity recognises the diversity of the creative industries in contemporary practice, locally, nationally and internationally. This programme will allow students to develop strong creative thinking skills whilst exploring their own design discipline through an interdisciplinary practical approach studying a wide range of design disciplines.
Traditional skills of art and design practice will be supported by the use of ICT (Apple computers and Adobe industry standard software) as a tool for design. This will be underpinned by the theoretical understanding of concepts and historical context. This multi-disciplinary approach will give candidates a holistic understanding of the nature of design. The combination of studio practice and contextual study will allow students to draw from the fullest resource of creative and theoretical influences. Creative problem solving, project management and entrepreneurial skills will support students in a realistic competitive context.
