  • Apply stone therapy – You will learn how to carry out the recognised techniques, involving the fusion of heat, coolness, massage and balancing of energies with skill and confidence.
  • Working with colleagues within beauty related industries – this unit looks at the skills you need to communicate effectively and form good working relationships.
  • Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon – whether you work in a salon, spa, cruise liner or on set, you need to know how to maintain a safe environment for staff, clients and models. You will learn how to carry out risk assessments, get guidance on the types of insurance that are needed, and look at how to induct new staff and the type of training and support they may need.
  • Client care and communication in beauty related industries – in this industry you need excellent verbal skills including using different questioning techniques. You will learn about body language, how to conduct yourself in a salon situation and legal requirements you need to be aware of.
  • Promote and sell products and services to clients – this unit will help you to gain confidence by looking differently at the art of selling and promoting products and services.
