The name crochet derives from the French term for small hook. The main difference between crochet and knotting is that each stitch in crochet is completed before proceeding with the next one whereas knitting keeps a large number of stitches open at a time.
Crochet – Community
This course normally runs on a Friday 10:00 – 12:00 for 8 weeks at Uzmaston Hall.
This course will explore different crochet techniques, show you how to read a pattern, look at more complex stitch combinations and on a weekly basis, share ideas, troubleshoot ongoing projects and have fun with like-minded people.
There are no entry requirements other than commitment and enthusiasm!
You will need to bring your crochet hooks and wool with you however if you don’t have any to begin with, please come along to the first lesson and the tutor will help you from there.
