Over two years, students will study the new WJEC/City & Guilds Level 3 Health & Social Care: Principles and Context qualification, equivalent to 2 A-levels.
There will also be the opportunity to study the following options alongside the main programme to support progression to University/Higher Education:
Option 1 – Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate (WBQ) (equivalent to 1 A Level)
Option 2 – Pearson BTEC Level 3 Certificate (equivalent to AS Level) / Extended Certificate (equivalent to A-Level) in Applied Psychology
Alongside these qualifications, students will also complete the new Level 2 Health & Social Care: Core qualification, a mandatory qualification for any learner who wishes to seek employment in the health care sector following completion of this programme, rather than progressing onto University/Higher Education.
