This Level 2 course is aimed at those working in the healthcare industry, and who have a certain level of knowledge and skills operating within a supervised role.
All units are internally assessed. Assessment enables the learner’s workplace practice to provide evidence for individual units as well as the whole qualification. Methods of assessment could include:
Direct observation within the workplace
A portfolio of evidence
Written assignments or a set task
All the assessment criteria of the chosen units must be achieved in order to obtain a pass.
You may be required to undertake the following modules if you do not currently hold qualifications in GCSE Maths and English:
Essential Communication Skills (ECommS)
Essential Application of Number Skills (EAoNS)
Apprenticeship: There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification but learners must be at least 16 years of age and in employment for at least 16 hours per week. They must have a clean Enhanced DBS check.
Workbased: There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification but learners must be 16 years of age and in employment for at least 16 hours per week, volunteering or on a practical placement as they will be required to show competence in both knowledge and skills. They must have a clean Enhanced DBS check.
