Introduction to Textiles
Learn techniques that can be used individually or combined to create home decorations, bags, presents, cloth decorations, cushions, decorative textile pieces…
- Macrame knots, plant hangers, key rings, textile jewelleries, decorations, wall hanging, bags, lampshade
- Weaving, any material, place mats, table runner, wall hanging
- Arm knit, giant wool yarn or any chunky material, blankets, cushions, wall hangings, scarfs
- Natural dyes, fabric types, fibre types, rust dying
- Home printing for cushions, curtains, clothes, batique
- Felting, embellishing, Silk paper making (for many decorative purposes)
There are no entry requirements other than commitment and enthusiasm!
You will need to bring your sewing kit with you however if you don’t have one, please come along to the first lesson and the tutor will help you from there.
Materials are not supplied as part of this course however you will be given a list of what you will need at the first lesson.
The cost of the course is £40.00 per 10 week course which is held on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 8pm. This is a special offer for the Summer term 2021.
