This qualification is practice-based for those with experience in a leadership or management role within the Childcare sector. This qualification is designed to help learners over the age of 19 to practice as leaders and managers in the sector
Leadership and Management of Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development
This qualification consists of the following mandatory units:
- Lead and manage child-centered practice.
- Lead and manage effective team performance.
- Lead and manage the quality of workplace/setting.
- Professional practice.
- Lead and manage practice that promotes safeguarding of children.
- Lead and manage health, safety and security in the workplace/setting.
- Continuous Assessment
- Internal Assessment
- Project Based
- Portfolio of Evidence
- Workplace Evidence
- The study of essential skills may be required
The qualification allows learners to progress their employment opportunities or to continue to further study at a higher level.
Entry is normally subject to interview.
Learners are required to have completed the Level 4 Preparing for Leadership and Management in Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development qualification
You will be expected to be in relevant job role in a childcare setting.
Access to a computer and internet.
Course fee: £1,500 (subject to change for the new academic year)
Learners are able to complete either the full qualification or certain units or elements through the medium of Welsh/bilingually.
