This is the logical progression from the Level 2 Marine Engineering programme.
The course is approximately 60/40 practical to theory on structure. The workshop session will entail a full strip and rebuild of a multi-cylinder marine diesel engine and transmission in addition to the installation of ancillary marine services. The theory sessions cover a wide range of topics with the main components being vessel and marine technology which comprises around 70% of that section.
Future Career Opportunities:
On completion of this course, students could progress to careers in leisure marine both ashore and afloat as well as apprenticeships including local marine business and the RNLI.
