Alongside learning how to recycle the unworn and unloved items in your wardrobe, you will also be discussing the global impact of the fashion industry on the environment and learn practical solutions to lessen your impact.
Using Recycled Textiles
This is a 10 week course which is held on Wednesday evenings from 18:00 – 20:00. All courses are held at Pembrokeshire College main campus.
Each week you will cover a different topic, including:
- How to implement sustainable fashion into everyday life
- Life-cycle of garments
- How to work with what suits you
- Where to begin the design process
- Sewing and repair skills
- Transform unused clothing into other useful items
There are no entry requirements other than commitment and enthusiasm!
You will need to bring your sewing kit with you however if you don’t have one, please come along to the first lesson and the tutor will help you from there.
You will need to bring a basic sewing kit with you and feel free to bring any projects that you have been working on at home too.

Learners are able to complete either the full qualification or certain units or elements through the medium of Welsh/bilingually.
