This Agored unit provides an excellent opportunity for those with front line roles to develop their Welsh language skills to deal with customers and clients in the workplace, in line with the new Welsh Language Standards.

COURSE CONTENT:
There are two learning outcomes:
- Know how to open and close conversations with visitors to the workplace, or on the telephone. This includes greeting/welcoming a visitor or telephone enquirer appropriately, using appropriate tone and form of address; appropriate greetings for time of day; question and answer in English and Welsh, as appropriate to establish the language of the conversation; an offer to help and end the conversation appropriately.
- Know how to conduct face-to-face or telephone conversations in basic work contexts. This includes carrying out a conversation within a given role appropriate to the workplace, and within the above criteria, asking one question and giving one basic piece of information relevant to the enquiry e.g. names of people/roles, where to find them, telephone numbers etc.
COURSE ASSESSMENT / EXAMINATION:
There is no formal assessment for this course. Assessment is monitored throughout.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

- No Fee if this course is taken as an Apprenticeship
- Subsidies are available to eligible employed learners
