I began working at Campus 6 Fitness recently in December 2021. In my youth my two main passions were running and judo.

I worked as a physical training instructor with the army and boxed at bantam weight for my regiment and went undefeated. I competed in the army judo team against Scotland and also in the 15km cross country skiing, winning my category in Austria.

I participated in bodybuilding for two years, but gave this up as it impacted my cardio fitness.

I moved to Pembrokeshire in 2005 where I took up long boat rowing, we had some very good teams. I have rowed across the fresh sea to Aberystwyth three times and once to Newport.

I then started participating in triathlons and in 2012 at 58 years old I did my first Ironman and finished with a time of 12 hrs 55 mins. I completed a second Ironman in 2019 at Tenby where I won the over 65’s group.

My next goal is to compete in 2024 and hopefully win that age group. I still run and compete in all sorts of events from mid runs to mountain runs. I recently competed in the Preseli beast which is a 24-mile rollercoaster and came second in the over 60’s and 15th overall.

I will next be competing in the Pembrokeshire triathlon.
