This course addresses how Mental Health influences company performance in terms of Health, Safety and Wellbeing and what you can do about it. All HSE professionals should have this knowledge.

The Mental Health and Workplace Safety online course is designed for anyone who supervises or manages teams, including HR professionals and organisational decision makers. There are five ‘easy watching’ course modules that are led and explained via video presentation, all of which have an end of section learning check.  Delegates can learn at their own pace whenever they like.

This is a four hour online course – 6 months access to the course is provided.

The Impact of Mental Health on Safety
This module looks at human factors and how they impact safety. It looks at how big the problem of mental health is and what are the likely consequences.

Module 2
What is Mental Health?
Understand the meaning of mental health and how organisational culture can affect it.

Module 3
Supporting Struggling Workers
Explore how to spot people struggling with their mental health and how to best support them.

Module 4
Creating a Positive Culture
Explore the formal management systems and approaches to shape an organisational culture that improves the mental health of the workforce.

Module 5
Looking After Yourself
Explore how you could effectively look after your own mental health, improve your mental wellbeing and reduce stress.

Learners are able to complete either the full qualification or certain units or elements through the medium of Welsh/bilingually. Visit our Welsh Language in the College page to find out what else is available to you.
