Is this course right for me?
During this 20-week course, learners will engage in consultations and communication with clients, analyse their nails and skin, provide clear recommendations with a detailed treatment plan, and prepare and apply nail enhancements.
Throughout the qualification, maintaining effective health, safety, and hygiene standards are essential. Learners must uphold a high standard of personal appearance and ensure consistent, effective communication with clients.
This course normally runs one day per week, for 20 weeks, starting in September.
- If under 19, relevant Level 1 or two GCSEs at grade D or above (may include one relevant equivalent) to include English Language/First Language Welsh
- Good personal presentation and communication skills are required
- Each application is considered on individual merit
Learn how to file nails, carry out cuticle work, treat skin and cuticle conditions as well as maintaining and repairing the nail enhancement (including gel nails) and removing them safely.
Units to be studied include:
- Provide manicure treatment
- Provide and maintain nail enhancements
- Follow health and safety practice in the salon
Learners have the option to complete course assessment/assignments or elements of the course through the medium of Welsh or bilingually. Visit our Welsh Language in the College page to find out what else is available to you.
