We have all sorts of beautiful, cuddly and fascinating animals that will be introduced to your 8 to 16 year old – above all we want them to learn and have fun.

Is this course right for me?

This five week Saturday club is for 8 to 16 year olds.

Learn how to care for and handle many types of pets including chinchillas, reptiles and rabbits at the John Burns Centre for Learning, Withybush.

All parents/carers/guardians are required to sign a consent form which will be emailed to them in advance.

Children must be accompanied to the course venue where the tutor will meet them and parents are to collect their children at the end of each session.

  • Available to those aged between 8 and 16 years

The sessions we deliver are highly interactive and involve the option of handling the animals and learning amazing facts about each one.

Learners have the option to complete course assessment/assignments or elements of the course through the medium of Welsh or bilingually. Visit our Welsh Language in the College page to find out what else is available to you.

This is a great way for children to connect with animals – maybe in the future they will become pet parents or even decide looking after animals could be a future career for them.
