Employment in an Engineering, Marine or Aerospace Environment.
Course Content
An overview of material removal and shaping process manual through to machine tool, conventional and CNC (Computer Numerical Control). Fabrication, casting procurement and manufacturing process, conventional and CNC machining including in process product measurement. Welding and general joining, bonding processes. Finishing, fitting, refurbishment, pattern and model making.
Course Assessment
Assessment is by completion of a portfolio of evidence matched against National Standards of Competence.
