What is LearnOnline?
LearnOnline is an innovation in distance learning from Pembrokeshire College that allows you to access the latest high quality education without needing to attend school or college. We have been delivering online distance learning since 2011 and have been continually developing LearnOnline in association with a number of home education groups, schools, and colleges.
LearnOnline allows you to work at your own pace, studying when you want, where you want, allowing you to fit your studies into your unique lifestyle.
What types of courses do you provide?
Our IGCSE and A-level courses are predominately self-study courses offering a range of subjects. When enrolled students receive access to our Virtual Learning Education platform (VLE), which contains the course content developed by our tutors. The content is broken into topics, which include; learning objectives, material to work through, and tutor marked assignments (TMAs). Students receive textbooks endorsed by the awarding body in the post and they will work with the textbook alongside the VLE to learn the subject and complete the course. The tutors mark the assignments submitted and provide constructive feedback. They are also available to contact via the platform should the student get stuck on a certain area or have questions.
We also offer a wide range of Business Support courses, from Prince2, Equality & Diversity, Finance Training and Health & Safety. You can support your staff with the most up to date courses or upskill to add to your CV so you can apply for your dream job!
Are there any exams?
Depending on the course you are studying with us there maybe online exams or you may need to sit an exam under exam conditions, for example A-levels, GCSEs and IGCSEs.
If you are studying with LearnOnline or as a distance learner and you wish to take your exams at Pembrokeshire College, you can!
We advise that you book your exams at a centre as close to home as possible.
As a private candidate you are responsible for ensuring that you know what you are applying for and you are aware of the College entry deadlines, but we will try to help you as much as we can.
We aim to support all private candidates wishing to sit their exams at Pembrokeshire College. However, we will need to review each request prior to confirming your application.
We can only accommodate exams with non-exam assessments (NEAs) if you are a LearnOnline student.
