During the latest royal visit to Pembrokeshire, six hospitality and catering students from Pembrokeshire College were called upon to provide a silver service banquet at Picton Castle attended by Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh.
This is the sixth occasion that hospitality and catering students from the College have been called upon to serve the Queen during royal engagements across Pembrokeshire proving the calibre and professionalism of students studying on the College’s hospitality, supervision and leadership diploma.
College lecturers Ross Nicholas and Rose Butler attended the event with the students and commented: “The students were fantastic. The Queen and Prince Phillip took the time to ask about the students and their course and the feedback from many dignitaries was that the students did a tremendous job and really did the College proud.”
The hospitality students who attended the event were Betsan Twose, Joley Sargeant, Rebecca Peachment, William Green, Christopher Tatton and Gareth Morgan. Following the event Christopher commented: “It was a privilege to be asked, a wonderful experience and a valuable addition to my CV.”
