mCommunity is Go!

An innovative scheme designed to help businesses access training and support via the use of mobile phone 'applications' technology was launched by Pembrokeshire College’s mCommunity Project at an event in Swansea recently.
The mCommunity project is running two schemes – providing businesses and young unemployed people with access to smartphone applications and support to encourage learning and training.
The SME launch event captured the nature of cross border partnerships – coinciding with the Rabodirect PRO12 fixture between the Ospreys and Munster at the Liberty Stadium.
Small businesses are benefitting from the development of the mCommunity 'app' which is currently loaded onto Samsung, Google and Motorola android devices. Representatives from small businesses and the project teams were also present.
The event, which was partly sponsored by Samsung and Orange, was an opportunity for all project partners, beneficiaries and contributors to discuss developments and share their experiences and ideas for future developments.
The mCommunity Project is led by Pembrokeshire College in collaboration with Gower College Swansea and TSSG and is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Ireland Wales Cross Border Programme 2007 -2013 (INTERREG 4A).
