Counting down their last weeks as College Students, Leah Prewitt and Vicky Taylor are putting the finishing touches on their final BA Design work, which will be exhibited in the Pembrokeshire College Atrium from May 16th.
The design students were tasked with utilising the skills they have acquired through their six years of education at Pembrokeshire College, to create a unique theme for their final project.
Vicky is passionate about raising awareness of mental health issues and has integrated this into her garments. Her pieces are inspired by traditional Japanese designs, which recognise beauty in broken things.
Leah takes an alternative approach, studying the latest trends and modern designs. She has created a series of home furnishings inspired by organic reptilian patterns.
“We would encourage everyone to visit the exhibit”, they explain, “it is our final send-off, and perfectly sums up all the skills we have acquired during our time at Pembrokeshire College”.
Both are grateful to their lecturers for all of their support over the past six years, and are looking forward to this next exciting chapter in their lives.
The exhibition will open for private viewings from May 16th, and to the public from the 17th until the 31st.
