College secures Corporate Health Standard Platinum Award
Pembrokeshire College has recently added to its string of awards by achieving the Welsh Government’s Corporate Health Standard Platinum Award.
An initiative for employers to improve the health of their workforce and their organisation, the Corporate Health Standard is the quality mark for workplace health promotion in Wales.
Being presented with this award is an excellent achievement which recognises the College’s commitment to the health and wellbeing of all its learners and staff. The College achieved the Gold Award in 2011 and was commended on the vast amount of activity it has put in place to enable it to progress to the next level and to earn the College the top award at platinum level.
Director of Human Resources at the College, Kathryn Robson, commented: “As one of only 5 employers in Wales, and the second College to achieve it, this prestigious award is a significant achievement which would not be possible without the hard work and commitment of an excellent team of staff.
“The assessors were particularly impressed by our facilities management and the environmental/sustainability aspects together with community partnerships and the volunteering scheme through Make a Difference Day.
“Thank you to everyone for making this award possible.”
