Ideal for anyone interested in gaining valuable experience and exploring career opportunities in engineering or the growing energy sector, this introductory course will cover welding, hand fitting, and engineering maintenance.
Learners will spend three weeks developing practical skills followed by a one-week work related experience or project allowing them to apply what they’ve learned in a real-world setting.

- Each application is considered on individual merit
- The learner must be over the age of 18
During the programme learners will complete the following units:
- Working in engineering
- Carrying out basic fitting techniques
- Carrying out MIG welding processes

- Continuous assessment during the course
- Internal assessment
- Online examination
This course can lead to numerous career opportunities within the Engineering industry, or progression to higher level courses.
