Pembrokeshire College proudly hosted its Engineering and Computing Expo on Saturday, 7th June, welcoming prospective students and parents to explore the latest advancements and opportunities in engineering and computing education.
The event showcased the College’s cutting-edge facilities and courses, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the College’s dedicated staff. Visitors explored a wide range of programmes designed to equip students with the skills needed to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving technology environment.
Nigel Richards, Curriculum Area Manager for the Faculty of Engineering and Computing said: “We were thrilled to welcome so many visitors on Saturday. Families enjoyed exploring the College and learning about our Engineering and Computing programmes. The popular Esports session highlighted career opportunities, while our Level 3 Computing course attracted strong interest thanks to its work experience and £200 toolkit. Chocolate Welding was a fun, tasty activity enjoyed by all. Thanks to local businesses, staff, and families for making the event a success.”
Attendees also had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals, gaining valuable insights into career pathways and current trends in engineering and computing sectors. The Expo featured a variety of interactive activities and hands-on demonstrations, making it an engaging experience for all ages.

It’s a great opportunity for anyone who turns up to have a go at some of the activities we do in the college as well as have a good nose around our workshops. We welcomed a record number to this year’s event; people were particularly interested in the new Esports course as well as the state-of-the-art control room training suite.”
