If you are interested in Psychology, but have little or no experience in the subject then this course is for you. During the course you will learn:

  • Describe biological correlations of crime and the relationship with personality.
  • Describe psychological theories of crime
  • Describe the use of psychological theories in the detection of crime.
  • Describe the theories relating to serious crime.
  • Assess myths and facts that relate to serial killers.
  • Describe models of profiling.
  • Describe the relationship between profiling and behavioural analysis.
  • Compare the use of behavioural profiling in different countries.
  • Describe aspects of forensic psychology
  • Assess the usefulness of forensic psychology in relation to crime detection

All classes will give an opportunity to; develop understanding and respect for others, gain confidence in participating in groups, share opinions and reflect on learning together. You will also be able to develop skills, abilities and attitudes necessary for emotional wellbeing.

There are no formal entry requirements, just enthusiasm and keen interest in the subject. This course is non-accredited so you will not be assessed. It is for personal development and fun!

This eight-week course will return in Term 3.

During the course you will learn:
