A Taste of Fine Dining with The Seren Collection

Pembrokeshire College’s Hospitality department are building a budding relationship with The Seren Collection to enrich Hospitality learners’ employability skills and industry knowledge.

Recently Pembrokeshire College’s Hospitality department have welcomed the Director of Restaurants, Mourad Ben Tekfa and talented Seren Restaurant Managers and Chefs from Coast Restaurant, Grove of Narberth and Fernery Restaurant to lead fine dining masterclasses. Learners have participated in preparing professional dishes in the kitchen and learnt the art of napkin origami and mixology in the College’s student-led SEED Restaurant.

Hospitality learners have also visited Coast Restaurant in Saundersfoot and the Grove of Narberth to experience fine dining and service from a customer perspective. During a recent visit to Grove of Narberth, Seren’s Group Director of Operations, Thomas Agius Ferrante presented the exciting opportunities available to College learners through the Seren Apprenticeship Scheme and The Seren Collection’s progressive business culture.

“Together we know we can help inspire the next generation of hospitality workers.”

The collaborative relationship between Pembrokeshire College and The Seren Collection will spark ambition and provide new career opportunities for College learners within the hospitality sector locally in Pembrokeshire and further afield in Wales. Seren venues include the five-star Grove of Narberth hotel, Michelin Starred Beach House Restaurant in Oxwich on the Gower Peninsula, Coast Restaurant and Kiosk Café in Saundersfoot, Cornstore Café in Pembroke and Penmaenuchaf in Dolgellau, North-West Wales.

Lecturer in Hospitality and Catering, Christophe Stocker added:
