An intensive course for committed and qualified hairdressers wishing to expand their skills. This course takes place in a commercial salon environment and students will require models to complete assessments.
This course normally runs on a Wednesday from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm for 19 weeks starting in January (actual date to be confirmed).
Progression: Level 3 Hairdressing/Barbering
- Cut and finish men’s hair
- Cutting facial hair
- Colour men’s hair
- Consulting with clients
- Create basic outlines and details in the hair
- Continuous assessment
- Practical observation
- On-line tests
- Portfolio/written assignments
- Qualified or working towards a Level 2 in Hairdressing
- Uniform and badge – £60
- Trip costs – approximately £60
- Stationery and books – approximately £45

Progression to NVQ 2 Hairdressing apprenticeship or VRQ level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing
Learners are able to complete either the full qualification or certain units or elements through the medium of Welsh/bilingually.
