This course aims to help plumbers and heating engineers who want to install Vented and Unvented Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems to comply with the appropriate Building Regulations and Standards.
Course cost:
This half day course is designed for learners who hold a current competency certificate and who are wishing to renew after 5 years.

Evidence of the existing qualification must be provided by way of a certificate or their operative’s card, which must have an expiry date no older than twelve months.
The comprehensive course starts with an intensive training session, giving a refresher of System Design, Maintenance, and Legislation, with the emphasis on relevant changes to the Regulations. Then assessments.
Learners have the option to complete course assessment/assignments or elements of the course through the medium of Welsh or bilingually. Visit our Welsh Language in the College page to find out what else is available to you.
Upon successful completion candidates will gain the Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems certificate and Competency Card. Certificates are normally valid for 5 years. Candidates are eligible for reassessment within 12 months of expiry. Previous certificates must be presented to the assessment centre as evidence of holding the initial qualification.
