If you’re curious about psychology and want to understand how people think, feel and behave — but have little or no previous experience — this course is the perfect starting point.

Throughout the course, you’ll explore key psychological ideas related to personality and memory, including:

  • Core psychological concepts explained in an accessible way
  • Major psychological perspectives and how they shape our understanding of behaviour
  • Theories of personality development
  • How memory works and different models of memory
  • How behaviour can be observed and understood

Classes are supportive, interactive and discussion-based. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Develop understanding and respect for others
  • Build confidence in sharing your ideas within a group
  • Reflect on your learning alongside others
  • Strengthen skills and attitudes that support emotional wellbeing

Whether you’re considering further study, looking to support your personal development, or simply interested in learning something new, this course offers an engaging introduction to the world of psychology.

There are no formal entry requirements, just enthusiasm and keen interest in the subject.

This course is non-accredited so you will not be assessed. It is for personal development and fun!

This eight week course runs on a Tuesday, 18:00 – 20:00, Pembrokeshire College Main Campus.

You will be learning:

  • Basic psychological concepts
  • Psychological perspectives
  • Psychological theory for personality and development
  • Models of memory
  • Categories of behaviour for observation purposes

You will receive a College completion certificate at the end of the course.
