Aesthetics are non-surgical beauty treatments such as skin rejuvenation, hair removal and light treatments all of which are big business in the beauty industry. Benefit from our modern and fully equipped training facilities and learn from industry professionals that have extensive real world expertise.

The Access to Aesthetics course has been developed for learners with no previous experience or qualifications in beauty therapy who would like to go on to study Aesthetics at higher levels; it is designed to provide the underpinning knowledge needed to undertake Level 4 courses and practice safely.

Learn about anatomy, physiology and pathology and electrical science as well as skin analysis and safe practice treatment protocols for facial skin care. Units in health and safety requirements as well as understanding how to consult with clients, and provide relevant aftercare will be included.

Please note – interviews will be arranged prior to course start date.

  • Two GCSEs at grade C or above (may include one relevant equivalent) to include English Language/First Language Welsh
  • Entry is subject to attending a course information session or informal interview
  • The learner must be over the age of 19

The course will cover:

  • Theory examination
  • Skin analysis and facial skincare
  • Consultation and client care
  • Anatomy, physiology and pathology
  • Electrical science
  • Maintaining Health and Safety in the salon
