This Gas Safety Assessment is designed to test the gas safety competence of an operative in Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety by knowledge & understanding and practical assessments.

This four day initial assessment training course covers the domestic core gas safety (CCN1) and is a pre-requisite for all domestic gas appliances modules plus providing knowledge and skills relating to installation, exchange, disconnection, service and repair of domestic central heating boilers and water heaters (CENWAT).

Topics covered include:
- Gas safety regulations and other relevant legislation
- Combustion, relevant pressures and gas rates
- Gas pipework
- Tightness testing and purging, including low and medium pressure gas
- Chimney systems recognition and testing
- Flues and ventilation
- Gas safety controls
- Combustion performance analysis
