This course provides progression from Level 2 and is designed to equip you with advanced skills in cutting, styling and colouring. Throughout the course you will be encouraged to show your creativity and to begin to build your own signature style.

This intensive part-time qualification is a combination of practical and theoretical assessments using the College Salon with the commitment of only one day a week.
For those who already have a hairdressing qualification and want to develop and refine their skills to go on to work as a senior stylist within the industry.
This course will prepare you for industry and is aimed at learners hoping to become qualified stylists. During the course you will learn how to cut, perm and colour hair. You will also undertake salon reception duties, learn how to give client consultations and how to promote salon services and products.
If you are creative, friendly, have a good eye for style and are looking for a rewarding career, this could be the course for you! Creative industries offer lots of opportunities for individuals who are interested in making other people look and feel good.
You are required to attend College for one day per week (usually on a Monday), therefore commitment, good attendance and strong organisational skills are required. Emphasis is on graded practical assessments, assignment deadlines and external tests. Mondays may also include an evening commercial session once skills are developed and additional opportunities within the week may become available within the College salons to maximise commercial practice under the guidance of the teaching team.
