Is this course right for me?

This course is for assessors/practitioners who assess the demonstration of competence in a work environment using the following assessment methods:

  • Observation
  • Examining work Products
  • Oral Questioning and Discussion
  • Use of Witnesses
  • Learner Statements
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

This is one of the assessment and quality assurance qualifications, part of an integrated suite of Training Assessment Quality Assurance (TAQA) qualifications for training, assessment and quality assurance practitioners.

  • No formal entry requirements
  • You will be expected to be in relevant job role
  • Entry is subject to attending a course information session or informal interview

The units to be studied will include:

  • Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
  • Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment

 

Learners are able to complete either the full qualification or certain units or elements through the medium of Welsh/bilingually. Visit our Welsh Language in the College page to find out what else is available to you.

  • Visits from your assessor to your place of work

  • Assessor
  • Internal Quality Assurer (IQA)
